Overview of the Eternal City

Nokron, Eternal City (Japanese: 永遠の都、ノクローン) is a monumental subterranean metropolis situated in the upper strata of the Siofra River basin in the Lands Between. Once a flourishing surface kingdom, Nokron was banished deep underground following an unspeakable act of High Treason committed by its inhabitants, the ancient Nox, against the Greater Will.

Unlike the crude subterranean caves found elsewhere, Nokron rests beneath an eerie, synthetic night sky glittering with artificial constellations and frozen nebulae. Within its ruined marble colonnades and moonlit plazas dwell the Silver Tears—shapeshifting liquid-metal lifeforms engineered in an attempt to forge an artificial Lord—as well as the fierce Nox Swordstresses and Night Maidens awaiting their prophesied Age of the Stars.

Accessing Nokron: The Starfall Cataclysm

For centuries, the celestial path to Nokron was sealed. General Starscourge Radahn, renowned as the mightiest demigod of the Shattering, harnessed gravitational sorcery to conquer the stars, halting their celestial drift and locking the fate of the Carian royal family and the subterranean cities in stasis.

Accessing Nokron requires the Tarnished to vanquish Starscourge Radahn at Redmanes Castle in Caelid. Upon his defeat, the celestial lock shatters: a massive falling star cascades from the heavens, tearing through the earth in East Limgrave near the Mistwood, opening a colossal crater leading down to Nokron.

Key Sub-Districts & Topography

Nokron is divided into several vertically stratified zones, ranging from the crumbling upper battlements to the sacred sanctum deep below:

• The Grand Aqueduct & Gate: The perilous entry point reached after descending through the Limgrave crater and leaping across suspended stone ruins.
• Mimic Tear Arena: A vast ceremonial bridge where the Tarnished encounters their own mirrored reflection forged from fluid silver.
• Ancestral Woods: A wild woodland within the cavern, home to the Ancestral Followers and six sacred stone braziers required to awaken the Regal Ancestor Spirit.
• Night's Sacred Ground: The sacred architectural core of Nokron, where the legendary Fingerslayer Blade is sealed beneath the throne of a colossal petrified skeleton.
• Siofra Aqueduct: A towering Romanesque watercourse leading to the Great Waterfall Basin and the gateway into the Deeproot Depths.
